During the second day of the Royal trip to Poland, the couple made a poignant visit to the Stutthof concentration camp, followed by a visit to the Gdansk Shakespearean theater and a visit to the European Solidarity Movement Museum.

This is the second day of the Royal visit to Poland.

The Royal couple bid farewell to Gdansk and is now headed back to Warsaw where they will spend the night. Tomorrow morning the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will travel to Berlin, where they will meet with the German Chancellor, Angela Merkel.

During a special performance for the royal couple, the actors created a „live painting". The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are expected to partake in the show. Afterward, a small party with British specialties is to take place. The royal couple will get a chance to try dumplings with British pork meat, pickles, and carrot. Also, a traditional Polish bread with lard, garlic, and thyme will be served.

The Royal couples remaining itinerary includes:

4:20-5 p.m. - A visit the Gdansk Shakespeare theater. The Duke's father, Prince of Wales, is a patron of the theater. The Shakespeare Theatre opened in 2014, is home to the city’s annual Shakespeare festival, There, Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are to attend a small reception.

5:17-6 p.m.- A trip to the European Solidarity Centre, in Gdansk’s shipyards- the birth-place of the Solidarity movement. The Duke and Duchess will tour the site, and meet with the members of the Solidarity. Subsequently, the royal couple will go back to the airport and leave for Warsaw.

On Wednesday, July 19th Their Highnesses will travel to Berlin where they will meet with Angela Merkel.

Stutthof was the first camp set up outside German borders, in September 1939, and one of the last camps liberated by the Allies, in May 1945. 110,000 people – men, women and children – from 28 countries were imprisoned in Stutthof, of whom as many as 65,000, including 28,000 Jews, died.
